Welcome to the Sologix ‘Start up, or not?’ course.

The aim of this course is to help you decide whether you should start a business or not.

Budding entrepreneurs, as well as established enterprisers, will benefit from the course content and practical tools made available.

Ideally, you should do the course before taking the first steps on your entrepreneurial journey. You may, however, still find it very useful even after setting out.

In our approach, we use the business model canvas developed by Strategyzer as the basic template to evaluate your business idea. We integrate that with GrowthWheel to test specific key focus areas in your proposed business model for feasibility and viability.

The course material is made up of four parts:

  • Short articles assigned to each module to read as background,

  • Videos of between 10 and 20 minutes, each putting in context and explaining the nuts and bolts of what we are trying to achieve. These you can download as audio files to listen to at your convenience,

  • The numbered slide deck that we run through as a guide, which you can print to make notes if you like,

  • The GrowthWheel decision sheets to complete with the information relevant to your business. This can either be completed electronically or printed, whichever suits you best.
